For those who would
like to enjoy both - sights seeing in Dubrovnik as well as
experiencing the beauties of the nearby untouched nature and peace -
sleepover on one of the Elafiti Islands is more than a compromise.
Just imagine that instead of going on a one one-day trips to one of
the fabulous beaches placed on these islands, you are actually
staying there (in those small peaces of paradise) for longer period
and having’ one-day trips to Dubrovnik. So after moving around the
City and exploring its sights you’ll be returning to one of these
green and peaceful sanctuaries where cars aren’t allowed. Every
island has its own personality, but green nature and rich historical
finds scattered all over, are some of the things what they have in
common. It’s fairly easy to reach them as Jadrolinija’s ferry boats
go on a regular basis departing from Dubrovnik’s port Gruž. The most
popular islands are
Koločep, Lopud and Šipan and are also the only
inhabitant islands. |

Besides the
private
accommodation that is the most common way of staying on these
Islands, every one of them has a hotel. Staying at the
hotel is
maybe more pleasurable way to spend your time on the island. Even
though there are small restaurants and markets on the islands, their
working hours are questionable (morning and afternoon shift).
So,
by
staying at the hotel, apart from other amenities that
hotels
in general
are
usually offering, you wouldn’t have to worry about
food. |
