Danče beach
is opened, not sheltered, rocky beach that stretches
just under the convent complex with a votive ononave Church of St.
Mary (Our Lady of Danče) and the remains of the 15th
century old Raqusian lazarettos.
Due to its exposure the
sea is colder and the weaves during the rough weather are higher
than usual.
It's interesting to know that the nuns in the convent have a custom
of waiving and ringing bells to greet ships sea passing the convent.
The beach can be easily reached. It’s about 200 m of the City in
Gradac area. |
